According to an article updated on August 26, 2016  by WSB-TV Atlanta, an Atlanta man is filing a lawsuit because an off-duty police officer who was working for Walmart security beat him in the parking lot after wrongfully accusing him of stealing a tomato. The man spent three days in jail until the charges were dropped.

The incident was caught on surveillance video and the Atlanta Police Department alleges that the video does not tell the whole story.
